MIDWAY MAGIC MEMBERS SAVE THE DATE!

Our next members only night will be June 17, 2005. Join us aboard Midway at 6:30 PM and meet Midway MiG Killers from VF-21 and VF-161. Former fighter pilots from the Vietnam era will be aboard to share thier memories, plus our curatorial department will have a variety of displays detailing Midway's role in Vietnam.

CALLING ALL VIRTUAL PILOTS

Report aboard Midway to a ready room for a live briefing on your mission. Then it’s to the hangar deck to be strapped into American and Russian aircraft for “launch.” Options include going head to head against the enemy or flying with the Blue Angels. For rates and reservation information, please call Mach Combat at (619) 544-9600 ext. 277. Special packages are available for birthday parties and other small group events.

WANTED: FRIENDLY LADIES & GENTLEMEN...

Seeking opportunities to spend balmy summer days on San Diego Bay. Our docent program is searching for additional volunteers to guide guests from all over the world through the mysteries of America's largest aircraft carrier museum. You will spend a few short weeks completing the 20 hours of training required. Upon your "graduation" you will receive the much coveted Yellow Hat. If you can volunteer some weekends and at least 20 hours per month, please contact rshappee@midway.org to register for the next class.

MIDWAY EXPANDS AIRCRAFT COLLECTION

Coming aboard in May 2005 a F-4 Phantom and a RA-5 Vigilante as well as several additions to our aircraft weapons systems. Our exhibits staff is also working on an expanded audio tour. 11th Annual Wings Over Gillespie Air Show - "The Aircraft of Midway" - a salute to the battle, the aircraft, the carrier, and the legendary men and women of the armed forces.
