SDACM After Action Report I was in San Diego over the summer and took a tour of the old girl. Unfortunately, no matter how much I begged, I was'nt allowed to tour the old work spaces. The only areas of the ship that you can tour now are the main mess deck, the hangar bay, flight deck and bridge, and some of the crew's quarters located on the same level as the flight deck. Due to safety reasons, the public is not allowed in any space where a sprinkler system has not been installed. So until they can afford to run piping and install sprinklers, it's all off limits. Maybe if I had more time, I'd be chummy with a volunteer on board and get the private run of the ship.
